A steaming cup of tea on the deck, soaking in the fall colors, on a cloudy brisk day.

Bills paid, food in the house, enough money for another tank of gas before next payday.  House as clean as I care to get it.  No place to be today.  Biggest question right now is which book should I read... life is good.

Happiness is coming home to satin pajama pants.  Extra points if they're pink leopard print.

That first sip of coffee on a lazy morning...

Beers on the deck always make life a little better.  Add in a good book and some grilling... :D

Relatedly, tried the TexMex dog today: jalapeno-cheddar cheese dip, jalapenos and salsa.  Worth it.

Sometimes, in Minnesota, we have to wear jeans and hoodies in June.  I'm not a fan of extended winter, but I am a fan of hanging out under the overhang on my deck during a June thunderstorm.  Jeans and hoodies just make it cozy.

It's been awhile...

1) A smoke (bad, I know) in the sun when winter's just starting to turn the corner to spring.

2) A glass of wine and Jimmy Fallon after a long day.

Irish coffee and a smoke on the deck... even if it's December.  :)

As we prepare for a week of giving thanks, it is the simple act of cooking a meal that brings us all together.

There's something about the weather turning colder, the sun setting sooner, and long winter nights that makes life just seem cozier.
